Rapidly Deployable Maritime Container

The Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) awarded us a contract to design and build two Rapidly Deployable Maritime Container (RDMC). The RDMC was built on an ISO container footprint and can be deployed within 10 minutes into an operating theatre with two operating beds. In addition, it can also be converted into an ICU with 4 beds.

The RDMC is self-supporting with its own power supply from a trailer mounted generator, UPS, air-conditioning, waste discharge piping and medical equipment needed for an operating theatre.

In 2016, the RDMC won a MINDEF Innovation Project Award. This speaks volume for our company engineering design capability.

In 2016, the SAF has a requirement to store sensitive equipment in ISO containers left in the open. The equipment stored is heat sensitive but yet the location where they are stored has no electrical power supply.

Our company came out with a design whereby we designed an ISO container that is insulated and powered by DC air-conditioner. These air-conditioner are solar powered and is designed to keep the equipment stored below 35 degree C as well as to reduce the humidity within the containers. We incorporated an alarm system to sound when the temperature exceeded that level and a data logger to monitor the temperature at all times.

Solar panels are mounted on the roof of the ISO container to power the air-conditioning system. Tie down points are also incorporated to secure the containers when needed.

In total, we supplied 11 units to all the various SAF camps in Singapore.

Picote revolutionised the in-house rehabilitation market by developing Millers and tools to enable trenchless rehabilitation inside buildings, renovating all drains from the rooftop to the city sewer. Where Trenchless Technology is fast becoming a widely adopted way to renovate pipelines in a more economical and environmentally conscious way.

Our PICOTE inventory has an extensive range of high-speed drain cleaning tools for general unblocking, root cutting, descaling, concrete removal, lateral reinstatement, removing failed linings using specialty tools like: Chains, Special Drill Heads, Smart Cutter™, Smart Spider, Smart Sweeper and Twisters.

SYNTECH has been a distributor and approved service centre of PICOTE products in the Singapore. We also hold in stock a wide range of PICOTE milling machines, pipeline/lateral reopening tools, pipe cleaning tools and CIPP lining accessories at our facility. All PICOTE machines are designed to work with a comprehensive range of tools for small diameter drain renovation from DN32 – DN300 / 1 ¼” – 12″ pipes.

Aircraft Refuellers

 

The Aircraft Refuellers are suitable for under-wing and over-wing aircraft refuelling operations. It is usually assembled on a fully equipped three-axle truck chassis, with refuelling being carried out from the side of the driver.

 

We fabricated 7  aircraft refuellers comprising of 3 x 1000 gallons and 4 x 4000 gallons in 1993 . Of these units, 3 were used in Sembawang Airbase and 2 were used in an airport in Cambodia.

Each system unit differs slightly. While all of the refuellers had both under-wing and over-wing aircraft refuelling capabilities.  Where the bigger ones were supplied with scissor lifts platforms.

In 2016, In 2016 we manufactured and supplied 2 aircraft refuellers and 1 trailer mounted refueller module to our Taiwan aviation customer based in Taiyuan International Airport.

We manufacture chassis-mounted refuellers as per customer specifications with tank capacity ranging from 5,000l to 21,000l, with flow rates ranging from 350l/min to 2,500l/min. Refuellers typically consist of a chassis, tank and fuelling & de-fuelling system.

Our engineers has to develop a performance driven vehicle to meet predetermined needs and comply with very specific regulated requirements. The challenge of driving underneath any kind of aircraft demands a sophisticated set of safety measures based on the reliability of the precision handling of our vehicle.

Many factors need to be considered in the design of an airfield refueller to achieve best refuelling results in any weather of any climate. Tanks could be made of mild steel (internally epoxy coated), stainless steel, or aluminum.  With safety provisions for static grounding cabling, fire extinguishers, fire screen, spark arrestor at the exhaust of the engine, and a brake interlock system on all pressure couplings, stowage, and emergency engine/fuel shut-off.

Based on the flow rate requirement, which normally ranges from 100 LPM to 4000 LPM, the refuelling and de-fuelling module uses internationally proven components such as internal valve, fuel & de-fuel valve, centrifugal pump, pressure control valve, fuel monitor, flow meter, under-wing pressure coupling, aviation hose for deck and hose reel, bottom-loading system with high level sensor, electrical deadman handle, and liquid fifth wheel for semi-trailer type refueller.

We provide solutions for the containment of fluid storage. We have the experience needed for a variety of tank projects and capable of completing any stainless steel tank fabrication project in both our factory and on site.

We develop our tankers using carbon steel and stainless steel. When it comes to storing chemicals that aren’t compatible with carbon steel or that are too corrosive for any linings added to carbon steel tanks, non-reactive stainless steel will be used instead.

Like the shortening wheelbase of truck chassis,

The wheelbase is the horizontal distance between the centers of the front and rear wheels. Vehicles with the longer wheel-base ( and ground clearance) are believed to have better ride comfort than the vehicles with shorter wheel-base. This is mainly because such vehicles have a reduced tendency to pitch & roll compared to other vehicles.

Fifth-wheel couplings provide the link between a semi-trailer and the towing truck, tractor unit, leading trailer or dolly. The 5th wheel trailer has a pin at the front, which the hitches on the truck clamps. A fifth-wheel hitch enables optimal weight distribution.

In the event of a rear-end collision, the under-run bumper prevents smaller vehicles from becoming lodged underneath the truck or trailer. There are three main underrun protection solutions. Fixed, Folding and Sliding.
